6 Week Ultrasound

We saw a single baby 6.7mm long with a beautiful fluttering heartbeat!!!!!!  I go back in two weeks, if everything looks good I will "graduate" into the care of my OB.

He gave us pictures from the u/s which I will take over to show my mother later today.  She is so excited.  She has three grandchildren but they have all been adopted.  Nothing wrong with that at all, but she has never gone through a pregnancy like this before so this is all new and exciting.

The bad news is, the Fertility God says the concert tickets we have for November 12 are a no go.  So, we will still go to Chicago and T will go to the show and I will not. :0(  It is a small price to pay if I can deliver this baby in June.

Thank you all for your concern about my car wreck yesterday.  T is beside himself that the other driver did not get a ticket.  My grandmother said she thinks that road tests should be required after a certain age.  She was issued a new license last June and thought there should have been more to it. (I love my grandmother.)  I am waiting to hear back from the body shop as to whether the car is terminal or not.  My poor car. :0(  We are scheduled to have it paid off next June.  The whole not having a car payment when the baby is born was a really good thing.  Now that might not happen.  I have the pitifully scarred and bent center cap from the front driver's side wheel on my desk at work.  I picked it up out of the gutter yesterday.  The P is gone but you can still read ONTIAC and see the distorted insignia. *sniffle*

YAY, there's a heartbeat. How wonderful! I'm so glad everything is going well.

I'm curious as to why you're not allowed at the November concert. I've been to a few concerts already, have I done something wrong?

Sorry to hear about your car. Glad to hear you and the baby weren't hurt. I know what you mean about not wanting a car payment for when the baby arrives. We just finished paying off the husband's car in August and we paid mine off last November. It's been wonderful. I know I need a new car, but it will wait until after I'm back at work.

why no concert??? I've never heard that as a restriction when one is pregnant? Is that a new guideline?

Glad everything is good and measuring right on!!!!

Congrats on the heartbeat! What wonderful news. So sorry again about the car - it is replacable, you are not (I know you know that though).

Hooray for you and that 6.7mm baby!!! Rats on the car thing...

Years ago, before husband and baby, I had my first purchased car (my first first car was my Grammy's old 74 Maverick). It was a Datsun 210. Not a B210 hatchback like everyone always thought, but a plain ol' 210 sedan. Red, just like I like my cars! The loan was through the credit union, and the day that the last payment was automatically pulled from my account, my little car got totalled. By a kid who had his license for a week and was excited to be picking up his paycheck at work all by himself. **SNIFF** So I feel for you. Big time. And ever since then, I am super duper careful on the days that I make a final payment on a vehicle. My 2002 Chevy Impala, Sheila (the silver Chevy - I know, I wanted red, but couldn't wait for it), will be paid off in December. I will be mailing the payment, and not leaving the house for days afterwards - just in case....

But again, so happy for you and T and that growing baby!!!

Oh Blue, I don't what to comment on first?!

Ok, the P -- Ontiac had the be one of the funniest visualisations I've had for a while. That was hilarious. I mean, I'm dreadfully sorry for the wreck and all but damn. Too funny.

And Hooooooray!!!

Squiggle little bean, squiggle!! Such wonderful news Blue!! I'll bet you couldn't believe your eyes seeing that strange little shrimp wriggling around and being INSIDE you. YOU!!!

Congrats to you both. This has been a long time coming and it's amazing and miraculous and holy crap Blue -- you're PREGNANT!!
